Most Beautiful Sun

Hi, long time no post. Sorry about that.

I'd like to share some of the Asian pop music my students enjoy.  Here is a song that they frequently pick for singing contests.
Here is a translation:

Only  because  of  you  will my world be beautiful. Because  of  you,  my  sky is  never  dark
You  give  me  joy,  you  sadly  cry for  me
Prospers  for  me,  letting  me  open  my wings  and  Fly
Your  words  your  years,  your smile  your  beauty
In  my  eyes,  you  exceed  the most beautiful rose
Holding  on  to  my  dreams and  flying  forward,
not  hiding,  not  withdrawing
You  are  the  fortress  on  my  road  to  success
Give  me  wings,  allow  me  to  soar
Give  me strength;  it's  you  who  made  me strong not afraid  of  injuries  because  you  are  by  my  side
Your  smile and your tear is the most beautiful sun on my dream road.
Judging by the lyrics, I thought it was a love song but the music video is more of a bromance or "believe in yourself" message, I think...
Now, how about that hair, eh?  The singer's hair is typical of the boys here at college.  Many boys here know how to use hair product and they achieve the artless tousled look, usually with enough lift to add a few inches of height up top.   The girls in contrast usually wear their long hair in a ponytail or hanging straight down.  It's the boys who know how to style their hair and frankly, they've got it all over me.

I've had good hair days and bad hair days since coming to China. What I want to achieve is a tousled, Judi Dench sort of look.

What I end up with is Edith Bunker.

I got a permanent just before leaving Canada and I've had a few days where i look like Doc Brown from Back to the Future.

But on the whole having curly hair has been a time-saver.

Classes have started; I have some students from previous semesters and some new, first year students. I'm dreadfully slow at writing up lessons plans, that's why you haven't heard from me.  Well okay, that and I've been binge-watching Korean historical fusion dramas. More posts soon?
